Hi, I'm Simon Hayenga

I'm Simon Hayenga. I'm a Freshman here at Herron High School. I love Herron because of the community and the fact that everyone here is welcome. Outside of class I enjoy Theatre, Musical theatre, Piano, Tennis, Alto Saxophone; and I'm a member of Architecture club. I have acted in a few Herron shows and I love the Herron Theatre program and majoring or minoring in theatre or acting would be a dream. I like hanging out with friends, writing, and watching movies and shows. I'm very extroverted and I love sharing my thoughts and ideas and learning about other people's thoughts and ideas.

This is my first year in Journalism and I thrive in it because it requires being curious and I love the design aspect of it, too. I always have fun sharing stories with people around me that might have an effect on them as I think it is always important to do that. I think Journalism is the best way to do this and I think it's necessary that every school has a form of Journalism.
