Catalogos 2025 Section Heads: Who’s behind the most adored pages, and how do they accomplish it?

Student Life

Student Life is the heart of creating a relatable, authentic yearbook. One that truly reflects the spirit of our school’s community. It’s not just about showcasing our school pride and academic achievements; it’s also about telling the stories of our scholars beyond the classroom and highlighting how they carry our school’s principles into different aspects of their lives. Student Life captures the moments, events, and experiences that define this particular time in our world, from the trends we follow, to the challenges we face, to the ways the world around us shapes who we are. Through Student Life, we celebrate students being their authentic selves, emphasizing the real, everyday experiences that make up our shared journey. Shining a light on the passions, creativity, resilience, and individuality that make our student body truly unique.

Athletics

Athletics is an essential part of every yearbook, and while Herron may not be known for having a massive gym or expansive fields, our athletic teams consistently go above and beyond, embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship and dedication. The yearbook offers all seniors a spotlight on their final year, but the Athletics section takes a special focus on those who have stepped up as leaders in their sport. Each sport and every athlete, brings something unique to the table, giving us the chance to personalize each page and celebrate what makes every team, exceptional. Through the collaboration of athletes, photographers, and editors, we are able to create beautiful spreads, and whether you’re on the field, the court, in the pool, on the track, or just on the sidelines, the Athletics section captures the passion, effort, and heart that make sports so meaningful.

🐞☀️🎧🎀💐📸💗 Junior Athletics Section Head Sports Photographer Design and Template creator 2nd year on Yearbook Im involved in Mock Trial and debate teams in relation to herron. I also get involved in journalism and writing camps over breaks and summers. I hope to go to IU Bloomington on a Journalism track. I’ve been on the yearbook staff for only 2 years but have dedicated a large amount of my time outside of school and during free time in school to help with yearbook. I’ve made entire pages and templates this year and last year and have learning more about editing and photo taking. Outside of Yearbook and Herron I like to do a lot of creative activities. My interests vary from nail art to crocheting and many in between. I enjoy reading and drawing during the summer and going on vacations with family. This summer I plan to take Journalism courses at IU Bloomington for 2 weeks to improve my skills for senior year. The camp will be over-night and we will be staying in actual dorms. Not only am I getting crucial photography and journalism information, but also an early college experience at a university I strongly plan on going to. I can’t wait to get information from real journalism experts and use it to better our school’s yearbook and future book productions.
